Welcome! The purpose of this  blog is to generate a multi-modal conversation that builds on discussion already taking place in the classroom. This is a space where you can try out your ideas, stimulate your writing and thinking as a community of scholars, and practice a commonly used social media genre that is increasingly used across the professions. Posts are intended to be a thoughtful and insightful reflection on a topic of interest to the writer and of relevance to our course material.

This blog is a project of Section 309 in English 217: Survey of American Literature. Posts are written by students with their student peers in mind as readers, and is administered by the course TA. It is for educational purposes only.
